Idaho Elopement

Adventure Session in Grand Teton National Park

Let’s just gush over these two for a second. Can you believe Lindsey and Jon have been together almost 10 years? They’ve also lived in five different states in the last five years with the Air Force. Currently they live in Denver and I already told Lindsey I’ll be calling them up when I get a chance to shoot in the Rocky Mountain National Park. I’ve been dying to shoot there for so long! And my parents only live 2 hours from it so I’m not sure why it hasn’t happened yet.

We did Lindsey and Jon’s Anniversary session in September and it was still smokey from the wildfires all over the country. I never want wildfires of course, but sometimes the smoke brings out a neat view of the Grand Tetons. It makes the light a little hazy and the colors pop differently. And these outfits, are you kidding me? I’m always a fan of dressing up and Lindsey and Jon showed up! If you can’t tell, these two were just here to have fun which made their images turn out phenomenal!

We went to 3 different spots in Grand Teton National Park. I shot here over 25 times in 2021 so I learned all the best spots for each time of day and different weather and lighting situations. I seriously love shooting couples who aren’t afraid of being silly and having fun during their session. Enjoy a few of my all time favorites from this summer anniversary session under the Grand Tetons!

Stanley Idaho Elopement

What a year 2020 has been, am I right? I want to shout from the rooftops how amazing all the 2020 brides and grooms are. Like, how in the world do you adapt your venue, number of guests, food, etc when guidelines are changing everyday!? It’s been crazy.

Allison and Evan were no different. They booked their Stanley, Idaho wedding with me back in February. It was always going to be a small ceremony with just a few very close friends and family. I was so stoked to be shooting at Redfish Lake, Stanley Lake, and honestly just see what Stanley, Idaho was all about!

In April Allison reached out to me to make sure we were still all set for their August wedding. All their plans were still the same. Then came early August when Allison let me know that no family would be attending since they were all from out of town. I felt horrible! Elopements are already small weddings, but to not have anyone there just broke my heart for the two of them! I promised we’d get epic photos to show off to all their family and friends.

Stanley is a beautiful area! Oh my gosh it was stunning that day. A storm had just cleared out all the campers and explorers so we had the lake pretty much all to ourselves. During their beautiful ceremony, storm clouds rolled in and created the most even light. Allison and Evan read touching vows to one another as it started to drizzle. Before they went to sign their marriage license, I asked if we could get a few shots so we shot for about 2 minutes before it completely downpoured on us! We ended up signing the marriage license in the officiant’s car!

Shout out to Allison and Evan for dealing with all that 2020 threw them. They can get through anything now.
