Mountain Bridals • Ally + Patrick

Happy Wedding Day to one of the coolest couples ever! I had the opportunity to shoot Ally and Patrick’s bridal session a couple weeks ago up in the mountains. Patrick and I drove up together for the first look so I got the chance to really get to know him! Typically I get to know my brides quite a bit since we communicate the most. But it was awesome for a change to get to know the groom much more! We even talked about how sports cars should be always be manual. (Thanks to my husband, Jacob, for teaching me that.)

Patrick just loves Ally. It is so evident in the way he talks about her and the way he looks at her. Their first look was one that even made me teary-eyed! Patrick put his hands over his mouth in shock because of how stunning Ally looked!
We got to explore one of my favorite areas to shoot in and we got some of the most epic bridal photos ever. It was so much fun shooting with Ally and Patrick because both of them are so adventurous and would do whatever it took to get the best shots. This is huge especially when you’re in a wedding dress in a suit that typically you don’t want to get dirty but they were not afraid of anything! I'd say it was well worth it! Congrats Ally and Patrick!

Idaho Falls Temple • Abby and Jared

On Friday, June 22, 2018 Abby and Jared were sealed for all time and eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple. Jacob and I were sealed in this temple as well so it really does hold a special place in my heart. The entire day I felt like family. Everyone was so inviting and so kind. I was so appreciative of how grateful everyone was. We had a beautiful sunny day even though rain was in the forecast earlier that week. Abby mentioned she had prayed multiple times for no rain and I know that her prayers were answered. Their engagement session had a similar situation which you can see here.

We got family photos done first which was a breeze! I love families who are so easy to work with and literally do whatever I ask! We ended up doing their bridal right after family photos. Mid-day bridals can be tricky, but thankfully the Idaho Falls temple has a few areas with great shade. Since Abby and Jared were just sealed a short hour before, the emotions were so fresh and real! Both Abby and Jared had smiles across their faces that they could not hide. I love the emotions and feelings you can feel the day of the wedding. Couples are always just so happy no matter what is going on or how crazy their day is!

Congrats again to Abby and Jared! Can't wait to see what these two accomplish together!

Mountain Engagements • Wyatt + Maddi

I consider Wyatt and Maddi some of our very best friends. I have been able to watch them grow throughout the relationship for over four years. Jacob and I were able to be a part of their proposal. You can view their proposal here and the sand dunes shoot here

It took awhile for Maddi and I to decide on the perfect location. We went back and forth on so many options and we ended up deciding on my all time favorite spot in the mountains. I am obsessed with Idaho mountains and beautiful views. So I was stoked that we were able to go here. We ended up frolicking through some fields for most of the session which was the best part! My favorite thing about Wyatt and Maddi is that they can't take anything seriously. Even though there are so many serious faces in here, they would always end up cracking up at everything! We always end up laughing when we’re all together. We also are huge fans of game nights with all the Meng family on weekends. It's one of my favorite traditions!

Wyatt and Maddi‘s wedding will be the first wedding I am both a bridesmaid and the photographer! Crazy as it sounds this is actually a dream of mine. Jake is also a groomsman and this is the first time we’ve ever been a bridesmaid and a groomsmen together for the same wedding! Yes, dreams do come true! I am so stoked to be able to be a part of the wedding party and be documenting one of the best days of their lives. We are so excited to take care of these two on their wedding day!
