My People || Idaho Family Photographer

It took me a long time to think about what I could do to give back to some of our sweet friends. We had been through rough year with our miscarriage. But this group right here is what got us through. I honestly don’t believe I’d be as close with them today as I am without the struggles we went through. I still remember waking up from surgery and having a gift basket of junk food and balloons and flowers and a super sweet card. I also had every friend reach out to me to let me know that they were there for me and that they could do anything I needed. Those messages and cards and flowers and gifts meant the world to me. So I thought long and hard about what I could do to give back to this amazing group of people. I decided to host a client appreciation barbecue. Since each of these friends of ours have invested in me for multiple sessions over the last few years. From weddings to engagements to family photos to head shots I have done almost 3 to 4 different sessions per family! So I had to make sure they knew just how great they were.

We hosted a little barbecue on a Sunday night and all got together. And I did super quick family photos for each of these amazing families. What started out as a group of guys who went to high school together has turned out being just an awesome group of friends. I sincerely love these people and appreciate their friendships.

•Take Me There Giveaway•

This August was JayCee Photography's 5th Anniversary! It's been an amazing journey and I've worked with so many great people. I thought long and hard about what I could do to celebrate this year. I wanted it to be creative and different. I'd had this idea in my head for some time, but struggled finding a way to really implement it.

That's when it came to me. The Take Me There Giveaway. I wanted to see all the pretty views I could and take one lucky person to their view for a session!

You can submit a photo of a gorgeous view within 90 miles of Idaho Falls. I'll be hand picking the winner with what I think is the best view. The winner will receive a 1 hour session at their "view" they submitted! This Giveaway is valued at over $400!!! You'll be getting epic photos at a gorgeous location, just for submitting a photo!

Details:
1. The location must be within 90 miles of Idaho Falls. This includes whatever hiking we may have to do.
2. The hike can be a max of 2 miles in. (4 miles round trip)
2. One entry per person. That means one photo per person. Your spouse or significant other can enter too though!
4. The area must be public accessible. (No private property.)
5. Session must be redeemed by October 15, 2018.

How to Enter:
You must complete all steps to be entered.

1. A PHOTO. Send in a photo with an beautiful view to me! YOu can send me a message through Email, Facebook page, or Instagram! Your photo doesn't need to be perfect! The photo can be of just the view or have people in it! Doesn't matter! Just make sure I can see "the view". I've attached some examples below.
2. MILES FROM IDAHO FALLS. Mention how many estimated miles it is from Idaho Falls. You DO NOT have to tell me where the view is. Only the winner will be telling me their location.
3. SESSION TYPES. Mention what you would be using the session for: family (up to 5 people), couple or portrait session.

So again the three steps to enter are, PHOTO, MILES, and SESSION TYPE. That's all! Super easy.

Enter even if it's a view you're used to! What may look ordinary to you, may look extraordinary to me.

This Giveaway will end Wednesday, August 29th, 2018 at 2:00pm. I will announce the winner later that night.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions! Good luck!

Mountain Bridals • Ally + Patrick

Happy Wedding Day to one of the coolest couples ever! I had the opportunity to shoot Ally and Patrick’s bridal session a couple weeks ago up in the mountains. Patrick and I drove up together for the first look so I got the chance to really get to know him! Typically I get to know my brides quite a bit since we communicate the most. But it was awesome for a change to get to know the groom much more! We even talked about how sports cars should be always be manual. (Thanks to my husband, Jacob, for teaching me that.)

Patrick just loves Ally. It is so evident in the way he talks about her and the way he looks at her. Their first look was one that even made me teary-eyed! Patrick put his hands over his mouth in shock because of how stunning Ally looked!
We got to explore one of my favorite areas to shoot in and we got some of the most epic bridal photos ever. It was so much fun shooting with Ally and Patrick because both of them are so adventurous and would do whatever it took to get the best shots. This is huge especially when you’re in a wedding dress in a suit that typically you don’t want to get dirty but they were not afraid of anything! I'd say it was well worth it! Congrats Ally and Patrick!
