Pocatello Temple Bridals

Remember that one snowstorm we got at the end of December? My husband said we got at least 15 inches at our house within 72 hours. My husband couldn’t even snowboard on the best snow days up at Grand Targhee with road closures. I was stuck in New Mexico just the day before Katie and Preston’s formal session and I didn’t even think I’d be able to shoot their session! Lucky for me, my dad drove over 13 hours to meet my husband and and the kids and I were in the car for over 19 hours! And we were in 4 different states in one day. (New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and Idaho). Anyways, we made it back to Idaho and we got the best snow for Katie and Preston’s formal session!

20º weather looks good on these two! Preston probably stood alone for 15 minutes in the cold while we got Katie ready for the first look. The pink noses and fingers were worth the photos I’d say. And Katie’s dress! I personally love long sleeved wedding dresses, which is kind of a necessity for Idaho winter weddings, but I think they’re so elegant and classic. The pinks pop so perfect with the greens. I mean, honestly, it couldn’t have been any more amazing than this.

Their Pocatello Temple wedding was beautiful! Not quite as cold as their bridals but just as stunning! It was my first time shooting at the Pocatello Temple and I loved it!

Winter Woods Engagements • Idaho Falls

I met Courtney at the best Birthday party. My friend Brittny had planned the coolest Harry Potter themed party for Tanner. It. was a scavenger hunt and there were clues all throughout Rigby that relate to Harry Potter. Courtney I were on the same team and bonded over a 2 hour car ride in Rigby. She’s got the sense of humor I love and carefree spirit that aspire to have.

Courtney is actually Brittny’s sister. You may remember seeing Brittny and Tanner’s Engagements or their Pocatello bridals a few years back. As soon as Courtney and Brad were engaged I knew I had to get them in front of my camera!

Courtney and Brad met me up in Idaho Falls at one of my favorite pine tree locations. Neither of them ever blinked at the cheesy things I asked them to do. Anyone who’s had a session with me knows I ask my couples to do some odd things during their session which turn out to be the cutest smiles and laughs from the session. Try scrolling through their images and not smiling. Their smiles are so contagious! For being 24º, I’d say they rocked it!

I’m so excited for these two to seal the deal in January in Utah! Enjoy my all time favorites in the woods!

Idaho Falls Woodsy Engagements

Sierra was working at Pizza Pie Cafe when Josh came in. In the words of Sierra, “I was smitten by him!” Sierra decided to tell her co-worker to tell Josh that he needed to ask Sierra out! And guess what? He did! Their first date was at Gravity Factory in Rexburg, which I must say, that’s a pretty awesome first date. After dating for about 2 months, Sierra made a few jokes about how Josh wasn’t allowed to fall in love with her. On one summer night while they were driving to go hang out with some friends, they were singing in the car. Josh told Sierra he loved her and the rest is history!

Sierra and Josh were a ball to hang out with during their engagement session! It was a pretty chilly day and as much as we wanted to go to the mountains, we decided to stay local so we didn’t get stuck in snow or too cold during their session. I’m glad we went to one of my trusty locations in Idaho Falls! I can’t get over this amazing forest vibe this hidden gem gives off.

I could hang out with Sierra and Josh everyday! Seriously, so kind and down to Earth. Not to mention totally themselves during their shoot! Posing was not required for these two. I appreciated how low key Sierra and Josh were. I feel like these two could have fun doing literally anything! We honestly were out just out in the snow having some fun, and getting a few photos in between it all. I’m counting down the days until Sierra and Josh’s April wedding! I cannot wait to document these two again!
