Erika + Marcelo • Idaho Mountain Anniversary Session

It is the coolest feeling to have couples traveling from other states to have me photograph their relationships! Erika and Marcelo are from California and came to Idaho for an adventure session up in the mountains! Erika reached out to me about two months ago letting me know her and Marcelo would be doing a road trip through Utah, Idaho, Wyoming Oregon and finishing off in Washington. She asked for snow and the pretty pine trees Idaho has to offer and we definitely got both! Right as we arrived in the mountains, we had a light snow fall which made the photos so dang dreamy! I was so honored to document these two and their adventures in Idaho. We had fun wandering through three feet of snow to get to the best spots. And these two were troopers! It was about 35 degrees which is pretty awesome for me, being used to the cold. And these Californians acted like it was no big deal! Neither of them complained once about how chilly it was and I knew it had to be so cold for them! The snow was so deep too and we kept falling through as we walked around. I absolutely loved Erika’s outfit! The red popped so well with the white snow and ever green trees. Everything was just so perfect. Thank you Erika and Marcelo for traveling to Idaho for your adventure session!

Lexi + Mas • Fall Adventure Engagements

Lexi and Mas are the type of couple I could hang out with everyday! Lexi contacted me right after she and Mas got engaged to schedule her engagement session. She mentioned wanting the fall colors so I told her we should squeeze them in ASAP so we could have more of a fall vibe instead of a winter one with Idaho’s weather being so crazy.

We met up at in the mountains in Ririe, Idaho, of course. Immediately these two were so comfortable in front of the camera. It honestly felt like we were just hanging out as friends! With a couple cute photos in between. It’s always a blast being able to document couples who trust me and are willing to adventure and rome with me.

We adventured in the mountains, wandering through the wilderness and I loved it all! It makes the whole process so much more enjoyable when engagement sessions turn into basically a date with me as a third wheel.

Did I mention how kind and loving these two are? To each and in general! They gave me some of the sweetest feedback after posting their sneak peek. Here's what Lexi said. "She is AMAZING!! She knows exactly how to get the best angles, knows the best spots, and is such a dream to work with!! She made everything so fun and entertaining and really just let us be ourselves. If you are looking for a photographer in the Idaho Falls/Pocatello/Rexburg/Teton area, this girl is the one."

Her comment literally made me tear up. I love happy clients!

I’m a Wyoming girl who married an Idaho boy. Even though I miss my home state, I can’t help loving these Idaho mountains. I’m continually grateful I live somewhere I can get deep into the wilderness within just 45 minutes.
I’m known for my love of the outdoors and camping, my quirky personality, obsession with board and card games, and showing people how beautiful they are, as they are. Since marrying my husband, I’ve grown a love for long drives and fast cars.

This summer I purchased my dream car in CASH! Let me just say, that was a freakin’ awesome feeling. I am now the proud owner of a yellow Ford Mustang GT V8 Manual! I love it so much! And while it looks crazy expensive, my husband found it for an amazing deal under $5,000. He’s a gem like that!

I have always considered the mountains my second home. My dad was a major workaholic growing up. It felt like we would go weeks without seeing him with his early mornings and late nights. But the moment my mom started filling the cooler with the meal prep for Hobo dinners, and my dad loaded the trailer with the four wheelers, I knew it was camping time. We would drive about two hours out to the mountains in Medicine Bow, Wyoming.

There was no cell service, no paperwork, and no distractions. The mountains are where my relationship with my family grew, but especially my relationship with my father. That quality time in the mountains was something I looked forward to and would savor. It's where my dad taught me to fish, shoot a gun and how to start a campfire. It's where we drove on back trails, ate some of the best food on the planet, and would play games for hours. Life was always good in the mountains. My love for the mountains has only grown since I was a child. I believe that there is something special about those quiet moments in the mountains. There is something magical about being on top of the world and being able to see the beauties of nature that God created for us.
