Mountain Engagements • Wyatt + Maddi

I consider Wyatt and Maddi some of our very best friends. I have been able to watch them grow throughout the relationship for over four years. Jacob and I were able to be a part of their proposal. You can view their proposal here and the sand dunes shoot here

It took awhile for Maddi and I to decide on the perfect location. We went back and forth on so many options and we ended up deciding on my all time favorite spot in the mountains. I am obsessed with Idaho mountains and beautiful views. So I was stoked that we were able to go here. We ended up frolicking through some fields for most of the session which was the best part! My favorite thing about Wyatt and Maddi is that they can't take anything seriously. Even though there are so many serious faces in here, they would always end up cracking up at everything! We always end up laughing when we’re all together. We also are huge fans of game nights with all the Meng family on weekends. It's one of my favorite traditions!

Wyatt and Maddi‘s wedding will be the first wedding I am both a bridesmaid and the photographer! Crazy as it sounds this is actually a dream of mine. Jake is also a groomsman and this is the first time we’ve ever been a bridesmaid and a groomsmen together for the same wedding! Yes, dreams do come true! I am so stoked to be able to be a part of the wedding party and be documenting one of the best days of their lives. We are so excited to take care of these two on their wedding day!

Makayla + Curtis • Idaho Falls Engagements

I feel like Idaho Falls is one of those places that doesn't have as many locations I would like it to. I’m from Cheyenne, Wyoming where there's about three different parks I loved shooting at all of them have so much variety so I never get bored! So I struggle when it comes to shooting near Idaho Falls finding a location that works for what I'm wanting, but this one does great! Makayla was actually the mini session giveaway winner on my Instagram. She guessed where we are going this August which was, in fact, Hawaii!

Makayla and Curtis are great together! I absolutely loved seeing their chemistry as a bystander. It was so cool to watch their interactions and see what a sweetheart Curtis is to Makayla. During their session we had some of the best light ever. We found this little patch of wildflowers and shot in them for most of the session. The pop of yellow was just so dreamy and made quite the scene for these two. Can we also take a moment to appreciate Makayla's hat? It was the perfect accessory for the session and I'm alway so jealous of girls who can pull off hats so well!

Zach + Jeni • Rigby Engagements

It feels like just yesterday I was taking Zach Senior photos. And now he's home from his mission and engaged to the love of his life! It’s crazy how time flies. I’ve known the Meng family since I dated my husband and I've had multiple opportunities to document their entire family. Maddi and Wyatt's sand dunes shoot was a blast, and Tanner and Brittny's bridals in Pocatello were stunning! And those are just a few that I have on my blog. Jeni and Zach have a way about them that makes those around them want to have fun as well! And I'm so glad that's what we did during their session; had fun!

My husband, Jacob, actually came with me to Zach and Jeni‘s engagement session. I sometimes struggle with the creative side of photography because I know the poses and the light that works perfectly to get good shots that turn out. But every time my husband comes he throws out an idea that just steals the show! It blows me away. This time he came up with an idea that involved our Mustang, of course. He ended up drifting on a dirt parking lot and creating dust behind Zach and Jeni. It created some super unique and interesting photos which are some of my favorites from the entire session! I am so glad my husband gets to come with me on these shoots, epecially with such good friends. He's known the Meng family for over 15 years! We consider the Meng's family so these sessions hit home for both of us. Congrats Zach and Jeni! Can't wait for the wedding in August!

And here's a few behind the scenes showing what it took to get these epic shots! Thank you, Jacob for your creativity and helping make these cool shots!
